Upon your arrival, our tour guide will welcome and brief you at the airport before transferring you to the Protea hotel for lunch. After lunch you can decide to have a city tour around Entebbe though its optional. You can also spend the whole of your evening relaxing. Later you can return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
On your second morning, you will be picked from your hotel and be transferred to Lake Mburo National Park with a mini stop at the equator for photographs. Upon arrival, have your lunch in any nearby restaurant and after go for an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo and here expect to see some hippos, crocodiles and some water birds and later check in at your booked lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Optional lodges include Mpogo lodge(deluxe), Kigambira Safari lodge (luxury) where you can have your dinner and overnight stay.
You will begin your third morning with a game drive in search for zebras, elands, giraffes, buffaloes, waterbucks, topis among others and on your lucky day a leopard may cross your way. After the game drive and having your lunch done, you will later be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park arriving in the evening. Check in at Eco lodge or Mahogany Springs for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will have to go at the park headquarters for briefing about the guidelines to follow during gorilla trekking and here you will be allocated to a gorilla group to trek. In a group of 8 trekkers, you will be led by a game ranger in a company of several porters to a gorilla group specified on the permit earlier secured for you. Upon encountering the gorilla family, you will be allowed an hour to view and take photographs before returning to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Afternoon activities including a community walk and Batwa cultural experience (the forest people) may be organized for you. Dinner and overnight stay to be enjoyed at Eco lodge or Mahogany springs lodge.
On your fourth morning, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park with an en route game viewing in Ishasha sector for the tree climbing lions. Later proceed to Mweya Safari Lodge for check-in and lunch as you get ready for an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga channel. The banks of Kazinga Channel attract big numbers of mammals and birds. On the boat cruise expect to see big mammals such as hippos, elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks among others. Both migratory and savanna birds are quite in big numbers along this channel. After the boat cruise you can return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After a morning cup of coffee, hit the Kasenyi track to catch up with early raisers including the cats as they return from the night hunt. Plenty of wildlife in this area may captivate you on this early morning game drive. On return you will transfer to Kibale National Park with en route visit to the crater lakes region of Ndali and Kasende.
You may reach in Kibale in the evening and you may opt to go for a nature walk in the Bigodi wetland for primate viewing such as mangabeys, grey checked monkeys, olive baboons, bush pigs, sitatungas, L’Hoest’s monkeys, vervet monkeys, mongooses, and bushbucks among others and bird watching. Later proceed to check in at Papaya Lake lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, report to the park headquarters at Kanyanchu for briefing about chimpanzee trekking before you proceed to the forest to trek man’s closest relative of all the apes. After trekking, return to the lodge for lunch and have the rest of the day at leisure as your waiting for dinner. You may also choose to go for a city tour in Kibale town but this you have to discus it with your driver.
After having breakfast, checking out and having your picnic lunch prepared, get ready for a long drive to Murchison Falls National Park via Masindi. The distance from Kibale Forest to Murchison Falls national park can be about 4 to 5 hours as the murram road has over time been upgraded. The picturesque drive along the banks of Lake Albert offers beautiful and very scenic view of the Western Rift Valley. You may reach Murchison Falls National Park when your tired and you just check in at your booked lodge for refreshments and relaxation as your waiting for dinner. Optional lodges include Kabalega Wilderness lodge or Pakuba lodge (luxury) and Red Chillie lodge (budget).
The following day enjoy a morning game drive in the northern part of the park to catch a glimpse of some fascinating wildlife species. Expect to encounter lions, jackals, leopard if you are lucky and many other mammals including buffaloes, Jackson’s hartebeest, topi, elephants, giraffes among others. Return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. In the afternoon go for boat cruise up to the bottom of the mighty falls for sightseeing and a chance to see crocodiles, hippos and some bird species. Dinner and overnight at Kabalega Wilderness lodge or Pakuba lodge (luxury) or Red Chillie lodge (budget).
On your tenth day, after breakfast transfer back to Kampala with an en route visit to the top of the falls for sight-seeing. You may also have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola for Rhino trekking if it is part of your safari package.
Depending on return flight schedule, your tour guide/ driver will transfer you straight to Entebbe International Airport for an evening check-in flight and that will be the end of your 10 days Uganda safari tour.
